For many websites, photography is everything. Even a good website can’t sell products and services if it has bad photography. But what about if you have a ton of existing photos – but they aren’t so great? Or if you can’t afford to get a new photographer?
The experts at LovelyPixels can do everything from restoring and coloration of older photos, to retouching newer photos with new layers of depth and vibrance, even to outright editing of photo content (like removal of unsightly power lines or addition of new people that weren’t present at the time the photo was taken). While we can’t “add pixels” (a low resolution photograph cannot be made high resolution), you may be surprised at what improvements we’re able to make to your older and lower quality photography.
A photo with a sky that feels fake can not only make the viewer feel off, but it can also impact how a website visitor feels about your brand and its honesty. Even great photo techniques, like HDR (high dynamic range) photography can easily be overdone and are obviously fake.

Older photos, even just 10 years old – really show their age. Unless you’re trying to look historical, photos like these can make your website and your brand also feel aged (probably not a good thing). LovelyPixels can restore and colorize old photography to make it look more modern and in-good condition. This can include anything from digital repair/patching of tears in historical archived picture to fixing the contrast of a sun-faded scanned polaroid photo.
Even when new photos are perfectly focused and lit, and are taken of interesting subject matter, they can commonly be improved to take them from amazing to perfect. We all know how neat it can be to view newly colorized historical photos. They can help a younger generation connect with photos that ordinarily don’t feel “real” or tangible. LovelyPixels’ colorization can include anything from full colorization of an original black and white photo (with a little help from you to let us know what colors things should be) to simple correction of color in an old photo where the magenta dye has faded (leaving it looking greener than it should).
