Copywriting, paired with excellent design and photography, is your chance to truly relate to your potential customers. It’s your opportunity to tell customers how you can help them. What problems you can solve for them. How you can make their lives easier. Why they should hire you. Why they should trust you. Why your company is different. Who you’ve already helped. How long you’ve been doing it. It’s your chance to say everything that needs to be said plus everything you want to say, too.
Well articulated copy is also an extension of your brand – would you trust or hire a company that has difficult-to-follow website copy, or worse – littered with spelling and grammatical errors?
Great website copy influences your bottom line in the same ways that engaging design and sharp product photography does. It can be the difference between closing a new sale and losing a customer.
And that’s just the human element of copywriting. Even if you think the average person doesn’t really sit and read gobs of copy, Google and other search engines are ‘reading’ it. A large part of getting your website ranked well on Google and other search engines is your website’s copy. Google uses the copy on your website in large part to determine what your website is about, so that when someone types words into the search engine, it can determine whether or not your site would be a fitting result. Usually, the more high quality copy you have on your website, the better.
For instance – if you “borrow” copy from another website, Google will know that you did by comparing the two, and you’ll likely get penalized. Also, make sure you don’t have too much repeating copy on different pages of your site, as Google will sometimes see that as “fluffing” your website. Lastly, make sure your copy reads well and isn’t awkwardly or unnaturally stuffed with the keywords you think your potential customers are looking for. Google sees that as ‘keyword stuffing’ and doesn’t care for it either.
LovelyPixels has a team of copywriters that will research the industries that concern your business and write clear and elaborate content. Our team works very closely with our SEO (Search Engine Optimization) experts to make sure that even if you aren’t actively enrolled in a monthly SEO package, you’re still getting some SEO value.
The copywriting process can involve you and your team as little or as much as you’d like – while it isn’t completely necessary to give our team a lot of your time during the writing process, the more time you give us, the better we can understand your business, copywriting goals – and most importantly, your personality! We’d love the opportunity to have a quick interview with you to learn as much as we can in as little of your valuable time as possible. And of course, if you’d like to review all copy before it appears publicly, that’s fine too – or you can simply leave it in our hands!
While we write the majority of our content for customer websites, we’ll also write content for social media posts (as part of our social media management), lead magnets, regular blogs, press releases, case studies, and more. Contact us to see some samples if you’d like, and let us know what we can write for you.
LovelyPixels’ team consists of senior talent and collaborative partnerships that are flexible to your individual business goals.
Your customers are either tuning in or tuning out and our only goal is to develop authentic, quality design work that establishes a connection with your audience.
And it all starts with a casual coffee date.
