Deep dive on specific areas of this project:
When we first met Dr. Li, he wasn’t looking to refresh an established healthcare brand.
With his vast experience in medicine, Dr. Li has always been an employee – working as an in-patient hospitalist, treating patients that are too sick to go home, then moving to outpatient preventative medicine and eventually becoming Chief Medical Officer within a larger provider in the Shenandoah Valley. After years in the hospital and outpatient medicine machine – Dr. Li had seen both sides of healthcare.
He’d treated people once they were sick, but increasingly found himself wanting the opportunity to help them before they got there. Bureaucracy, volume-driven care and organizational roadblocks made this goal increasingly difficult, so he decided to build something different.
There were no existing patients. No established search presence. No years of reviews, backlinks or brand recognition to lean on.
There was significant investment behind the practice, a physical location preparing to open, and a specialized model of care that needed to earn trust quickly.
Our job wasn’t simply to make VOMD look established. We needed to help build the infrastructure that would allow it to become established.
And then we needed to get patients through the door.
BRANDING & TONE DEVELOPMENT
Before aggressively marketing VOMD, LovelyPixels built the foundation the practice would need to support growth.
Our team developed the visual brand and initial design system, produced photography, built and launched the website, developed initial social campaigns, performed keyword and content research, and created a long-term content strategy.

CREATING DEMAND BEFORE THE DOORS OPEN
VOMD’s website went live around September 17, 2025. The practice officially opened September 29. And something important happened in between: Patients were already paying attention.
September generated 1,751 website users, driven heavily by the initial social launch and direct brand interest. The site recorded 28 contact-form submissions before the practice had even established its normal operating rhythm.
Within the first week, nearly 50 patients had signed up. Just 23 days after opening, Dr. Li reported approximately 70–80 patients, describing the response as “better than expected.”
The brand hadn’t simply launched. It had entered the market with momentum.

SEO & LOCAL MARKETING
For a brand-new medical practice, VOMD had virtually no historical search authority to inherit. So we built it.
Early local-search tracking showed VOMD achieving top positions across the Winchester area for terms including obesity clinic Winchester VA, obesity doctor, obesity clinic and obesity care Winchester VA, while weight-loss-related searches continued climbing. By March, the reports describe obesity care/clinic/doctor/specialist terms as generally ranking #1 locally.

A Totally Killer Whiskey Selection
Launching a medical practice requires more than a logo, a website and a few social media posts.
VOMD needed to enter the Winchester market as a credible medical provider while competing for attention in a category dominated by hospital systems, commercial weight-loss programs and established providers.
There was another strategic challenge: what patients search for isn’t necessarily how physicians describe their care.
Ready to Dive in?
We’re All Ears.
Got a laundry list of marketing headaches? A wild idea you’re ready to chase? Big dreams that need a solid plan?
Let’s talk about what’s really holding you back – and how we can help you push through it.
By January, VOMD’s website generated 108 tracked leads from 601 users – a 17.97% traffic-to-lead conversion rate.
February provided an even clearer picture of which channels were doing the heavy lifting.
The website generated 676 users → 81 tracked leads → 11.98% traffic-to-lead conversion
221 organic visitors → 49 leads → 22.17% conversion.
Roughly one in five visitors to the site took a measurable action that we could track. That is the difference between generating traffic and building a patient-acquisition system.
A strong opening is great. A strong opening that turns into predictable patient acquisition is much better.
Once VOMD was operational, LovelyPixels shifted the emphasis from launch marketing toward building a sustainable acquisition engine across search, content, paid media, referrals, local visibility and community awareness.
That meant continually looking at the entire patient journey rather than optimizing isolated marketing channels.
We monitored what people searched, how they found VOMD, which pages they visited, where leads originated, how Google Business Profile performed, which services needed stronger landing pages, what questions patients needed answered and where the practice could build additional trust.
By November, organic search was already responsible for 29% of website traffic, with organic visitors averaging 2 minutes and 10 seconds of engagement. SEO generated the majority of the tracked appointment clicks and contact-form submissions recorded that month.
Then the system began to compound.
